Lovely Loo’s for Lizzies Visit…

So the queen is coming and we’ve gone all out… the government has decided to throw yet more money down the toilet. All the gold reserves in the country have been melted down and are as I type been installed in any lavatory the Queen is likely to visit, the palace has informed Ireland that the exact timing of her bowel movements is not a science but we have left nothing to chance…

A Picnic in the Park…Dunnes Stores Carpark

So it’s a lovely day, in fact this could be our summer. This could be it. Gone in the blink of a half closed eye. And what better way to spend a sunny day than sprawled out on a checkered blanket with a picnic basket and some friends. The smell of car fumes and the sound of shopping trolleys bouncing over tarmac brought me back to the picnics of my childhood when my parents waited patiently to grab a space and all five of us spent hours watching the shoppers roll by…

Her Morning Elegance…

I’m a little late to this judging by the 18 million views but I have been looking for stop motion inspiration and one of my housemates suggested this yesterday, one of the best videos I have ever seen, can’t imagine how long it took to make!!

Enjoy…

Discover in your local paper…

My brochure produced alongside Ann Phelan at Detail marketing for Castelcomer Discovery Park will be in all local papers today.

The park is a great facility to have and it’s just on the outskirts of our little town or our big city depending on your viewpoint. It has loads to offer which you’ll see in the brochure so put on your hiking boots, get out your fishing rods, put on your mining helmet, don your artists smock and become a hiking, fishing, mining artist, sure what more could you ask for!

Eurostar New Identity…

Interesting article on creative review about the future of branding in relation to Eurostars new look. I tend to agree with it, a logo can only do so much sometimes and needs to be paired with some sort of an over all theme. I beleive that both a logo and theme exist together and compliment each other as long as the logo and the companies over all philosophy is kept to the forefront of the mind when concepting.

Sometimes I think I sound very intelligent, I am of course!

It is a big run so should be around the country and in most homes this day two weeks so keep an eye out. I’ll post up some of the work when its released, can’t now for obvious reasons! Fingers crossed the printing goes smoothly!

For a Sunny Day…

I have to apologise for my lack of blogging lately, I have been archiving all my inspirations and meaning to post a few along with some new work but not finding the time at the moment. Anyway, I saw this yesterday and because of the beautiful day that’s in it, it seems appropriate.

Architect Didier Faustino created this swing set out of a converted advertising billboard for the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Bi-City Biennial of Urbanism and Architecture. Here’s a link to a little more info.

I’d love to be sitting on those swings now and fulfill my ultimate childhood dream, my parents never got me a set, said it was something to do with health and safety!
